FAQ
Buying a resale property in the UAE: questions
Answers built from the current listing data.
What is a secondary property?
A secondary (resale) property is a home, plot or commercial unit that already has an owner and is being sold again, rather than bought new from a developer. Most are built and ready, so you can view them before you decide.
How many listings does Resalio show?
2,112 listings in 289 communities across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman (listing data as of 20 October 2026).
Which areas have the most listings?
By number of listings: Dubai Marina, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) and Dubai Islands. Use the area filter on the listings page to narrow the list.
What is a distress deal?
A distress deal is a listing the seller wants to close quickly, often below the usual asking price for the building. 39 listings are marked as distress deals and shown first. Always compare with similar units and confirm the details before you commit.
What do secondary properties start from?
The lowest asking price listed is AED 2. Asking prices change and are confirmed with the seller’s agent before you commit.
What costs apply when buying a resale property?
Besides the price, expect the Dubai Land Department transfer fee, agency commission and, for a mortgage, lender and valuation fees. The exact amounts depend on the property and the transaction, so we list them for your case before you commit.
Can buying a resale property lead to a Golden Visa?
Some property owners qualify for a UAE Golden Visa, depending on the property value and the current rules. We check the rules that apply on the day you buy.
How do I ask about a listing?
Use the enquiry form on the listing, or call or email us. An advisor confirms availability, sends more pictures and arranges a viewing.
